Hello!
Just to let anybody who still remembers me that I am alive and very well.
I'll be done with school forever in just about 2 months, and I don't even have to look for a job, because I learned on Friday that I got the best I could ever hope for: I'll work as a translator for the government, with tons of opportunities to improve, and a salary beyond my wildest dreams (though, I'll be honest, here, my wildest salary dreams were never all that wild to begin with).
I don't think that I'll post anything here ever again... though, I do plan on writing again someday, all that's missing is time and, mostly, ideas. I'll keep coming to check on

Hey, here's an update from the most useless deviant of all who hasn't updated with something creative in at least 9 years!
So, the news:
I:
- Had the most badass grades ever for last term;
- Am starting to play squash decently;
- Decided to move in with my new friend in a bigger apartment, and will be moving in July!
- Fell in love with psychedelic rock band Cream, and can't stop singing "Swlabr"
- Put my roommate-to-be's Nintento DS in the washing machine (needless to say, it's dead);
- Bought a cast iron wok and am cooking the finest chinese delicacies :P ;
- Became addicted to the Scrubs TV series;
- Am in an unending good mood

What does it mean to be the best?

I'm used to being the best.
Being on top of my class, getting the highest grades.
I've been the best in high school and I've been the best in college.
Now that I'm getting my degree in translation, I'm not the best anymore. I've got a couple of people kicking my ass.
So it got me thinking... What does it mean to be the best?
Of course, I'm still very good. But there are always a couple people ahead of me. Thing is, they are 6-7-8 years older than I am. They've seen the world. They've worked full time before, met tons of people, they have innumerable memories and many an experience to draw from when they translate.

Uh, so which one are you actually mad about? Your boyfriend's reaction or the fact that the guy almost ran over your brother? And if Jean-François doesn't want to go beat the driver's head off with a wrench, maybe he has a reason? It's possible that there's more to it than you might think; you ought to ask him. If you still feel like going and giving this guy a piece of your mind yourself, then you apparently know where to find him. Even though I relish unloading on people when they make me mad, I find that it usually isn't the best way to go about things. This guy, whoever he is, probably won't listen and in fact will most likely just start to shut you out - as well as what he should have learned... and who knows, maybe he has a conscience.
